The RACV Resort at Inverloch is an iconic tourist location, attracting many thousands of visitors every year.

The resort is renowned for having some of the finest dining in Gippsland, and also for its incredible location overlooking the Bunurong Coast and ocean towards Wilsons Promontory. The spectacular and rugged location also creates challenges for a solar project, with extreme winds and exposure to salt-mist.

So in 2019, RACV turned to Gippsland Solar to provide a tailored solution. This 100kW system was designed specifically for a coastal installation, with the products carefully designed to be installed within 100 metres of the ocean.

The solar panels, inverters and framing all feature the highest possible tolerance to salt-mist and high winds. With a number of projects at Phillip Island and along the Gippsland coastline, our team’s experience in simliar locations meant that we were the provider of choice for this prestigious project.

The system is performing above expectations, and delivering on all aspects.
